With 10 pairs of Lads/Lasses v Dads/Brothers/Friends we decided that we would try playing pairs cricket enabling the Lads to bowl/be bowled at by their Dad or notional dad. This worked well and I think is a format we will adopt for this game in the future.
Our scorer was not so sure (having not been aware that this was the format we were going to play) but he did a superb job of keeping the scoreboard ticking over and giving us a final score.
A wicket equated to a loss of 5 runs
James and Silas K took on the captaincy of the two teams with the Dads winning the toss and batting first.
Dads 182-6 v Lads 125-9 meaning the dads won by 57 runs
