Every Hog match has a Match Manager – and it is the Match Manager that selects the XI that represents the Club.
The Match Manager is also responsible for the tea!
This approach means that we do not have an XI as such – and about 150 different people represent the Club every year, all proud members of the Club (many having been Hoggets (Junior Hogs) when at school.
Qualifiers and Guests also represent the Club, at the discretion of the Match Manager, and these players are encouraged to join the Club, according to our Rules.
This approach, along with our own beautiful ground, long history, and our desire to play competitive cricket against great teams for the love of the game makes Warnford the Home of Wandering Cricket.
