Scorecard – Hampshire Hogs v Nairobi Nomads – 16.07.20
The Hogs won the toss and decided to bat on a glorious day at Warnford.
A young and exciting batting line up showed off their talent. Runs came from Ben Barber (119), Harry Fisher (100*) and an explosive 47* from George Wake helped the Hogs reach 375-4 declared.
A threatening bowling force led by Jimmy Hawkings (3-12) was no match for the Nairobi Batsmen who slumped to 68 all out; Will Hardman’s 2-10 and Milo Dundas’ 2-11 aided by a wonder catch from Rory Tennant took the game away from the visitors.
Overall, an emphatic Hogs win was played in great spirit and against a charming opposition – I think both teams were just thrilled to have cricket back!
