A largely Under 19 Hogs team arrived by minibus at the rolling Stowell Park estate in the Cotswolds, the occasional home of the Gypsies.
The Gypsies elected to bat and scored a commendable 257 off 59 overs against a good Hogs pace and spin attack.
When the Hogs came to bat, wickets fell early against accurate bowling on a seaming wicket and we were bowled out for 123. Harry Came got a gritty 59 and 4 wickets for the Hogs but to no avail as the largely Antipodean Gypsies triumphed.
The host, Lord Vesty, joined the spectators for a convivial evening snifter in what was a very pleasant day all round, despite the result!
