This was not a Hogget v Hambledon game but two teams playing each other who had both Hoggets and Hambledon players in them – one of the teams was captained by W Matthews, a Hogget.
It was a tricky week and the Hoggets were only able to provide 6 players but I Pratt at Hambledon was determined that the game would go ahead, especially as the ‘home’ game (which was fully subscribed by both sides) was rained off a few weeks earlier.
Thank you to those Hoggets who turned up – I think a good afternoon was had by everyone.
