Recap
Scorecard: 14.04.24 – Hurlingham Club
What a great start to the season. Hurlingham won the toss and elected to put the Hogs in to bat. 127* for skipper, Ben Fraser and 51 for Sam Aldridge, took the Hogs to 252 all out off 52.5 overs.
Some very tight bowling from Dick Aldridge at the beginning of Hurlingham’s innings kept the opposition in check. Barney Talbot-Williams came in to bowl in the 21st over, being despatched around the ground for 3 overs conceding 37 runs. Skipper Fraser kept him on and this was decision was a good one as the first wicket came in the 27th over, with 2 more in the 31st and another 2 in the 33rd – 5-51 off 8 overs. Hurlingham Club all out for 223 off 39.5 overs – the Hogs winning by 29 runs.
A lovely day’s cricket and a cracking way to start the season.
