The U11s lost their very close game by 3 overs; the Hoggets were 156 for 8 after 30 overs, with Odiham achieving 157 for 6 off 27.0.
Edward Magnay, appointed Captain for the match, scored an impressive 39 not out; his bowling took one wicket for only 7 runs off 3 overs. Maeve Richman and Zoe Jack also gave very creditable bowling and batting performances in their first ‘hard ball’ games.
Two players loaned from Odiham proved useful in adding another 39 to the Hoggets total though sadly offset by a similar loss from their bowling.
