Scorecard – Hambledon v U13 Hoggets – 20.08.20
After the encouraging dismissal of Olly Cordery (4) on his second ball, the Hogget’s inexperienced attack struggled against a much older and stronger Hambledon top order. Some excellent cricket kept the final score down to a challenging but obtainable 171 in 25 overs.
Unfortunately some even better out cricket from Hambledon led to 3 run outs before the Hoggets could make 20 runs, and, although Toby Hopton and Alex Weston led a recovery of sorts, wickets fell at regular intervals and the Hoggets closed on 71 runs in 22.1 overs, losing by exactly 100 rus.
